Theatre Northwest & Arts On Broadway

A hub of artistic expression + community engagement

Theatre Northwest is the performance company of the Department of Performing Arts and presents a diverse season of plays, concerts, dance, and other events.  Academic Presentations are produced annually and take priority during scheduling.

In this capacity students design, build, and act in multiple theatre productions and work on various production tasks ranging from costume construction to lighting. Students can earn academic credit for practical work in all aspects of theatre production. All auditions for Theatre Northwest productions are open to the campus and community.

Arts On Broadway serves as a community and civic-driven programming initiative of the School of the Arts.  Our performing arts venues are available for external productions that are not presented or associated with the Performing Arts Department/Theatre Northwest.

  • Partnership Program is mission-aligned external activities and approved by the School of the Arts Dean.

  • Venue Rental Program accepts proposals and inquiries on a rolling basis, that are mission-aligned, and reviewed by a committee consisting of staff and faculty members.

A Unique Regional Arts Venue

The Main Stage Theatre,  a state-of-the-art 500-seat proscenium auditorium, and the Black Box Studio,  an experimental 100-seat opened its doors in the Fall of 2017 at the School of the Arts in the Arts & Sciences Building.
