Summary
Indiana University Northwest Faculty Professional Web Pages provide faculty members with the ability to present their professional profiles online using an IU Northwest-approved template. The use of Faculty Professional Web Pages is optional.
Policies
The UITS-NW Web Services Team will create all new Faculty Professional Web Pages. Requests must be made by Lead Content Managers (LCM) by contacting the UITS-NW Support Center at iunhelp@iun.edu.
Available navigation tabs include:
- About (required)
- Classes (required)
- Curriculum Vitae (required)
- Community Service (optional)
- News and Media (optional)
- Publications (optional)
- Related Information (optional)
- Research (optional)
PDFs are no longer allowed on the IU Northwest website. Faculty who wish to include PDFs on their Professional Web Pages, such as their curricula vitae, should provide a public link to an IU OneDrive account that contains these documents.
To maintain a consistent look and feel across the IU Northwest website and simplify requests for assistance, the Professional Web Pages template will not be altered to suit individual requests.
If the template does not meet a faculty member’s needs, there are two additional options available:
- Personal Sitehost account using the IU Framework
- Individual web page using pages.iu.edu
Please note that support for these two additional options is provided by UITS in Bloomington. The UITS-NW Web Services Team only provides support for the IU Northwest Faculty Professional Web Pages template.
Procedures
Creation
The UITS-NW Web Services Team will create all Faculty Professional Web Pages. Once initial web pages are launched, ownership will pass to the unit’s Content Manager (CM).
Maintenance
The UITS-NW Web Services Team will schedule a session to train LCMs and CMs on how to make updates to the web pages. Faculty members will work with their unit’s CM on any updates subsequent to launch.
