Campus Events
The Office of Campus Events will support colleagues in their efforts to host face-to-face events through a campus event planning and review process. For in-person gatherings of 10 or more attendees, the IUN Event Committee will review the request to ensure our campus can meet health and safety requirements.
All in-person campus gathering of 25 or more people, hosted on university property or off-site, will require review by the University Event Request Committee (UERC) and approval by an executive vice president or designee.
(For the purposes of this guidance, an event or conference is any non-credit-bearing planned gathering of 25 or more people, whether public or private, indoor or outdoor, on- or off-campus, with a specific location, date, or time.)
Virtual-only events and virtual-only conferences will not require approval.

At IU Northwest, the Office of Campus Events will support colleagues in their efforts to host face-to-face events through a campus event planning and review process.
For in-person gatherings of 10 or more attendees:
- The Campus Events team will assist the event organizer in completing an event request that outlines the details of the plan, including health and safety measures and space reservations. IUN Event Request Form
- The event will be reviewed by the IU Northwest Campus Events Committee, to ensure our campus can meet health and safety requirements.
- Once approved by the IU Northwest Campus Events Committee, the Campus Events team will submit the event plans to the UERC, in behalf of the IU Northwest campus.
- UERC-approved events will be planned with assistance from the Campus Events team and other campus partners, as needed.
Due to the thorough review process, event organizers should plan to contact the Office of Campus Events six to eight weeks prior to the proposed event date.
