If a department requires a permit longer than one day for a visitor or volunteer, then a monthly permit may be purchased by the department or individual for $10 per month.
There should not be a regular university affiliation such as faculty, staff, or student for the individuals. Purchase is dependent on having no record of unpaid fees or fines in the Office of the Bursar and the Office of Parking Services.
A Monthly Parking Permit will allow parking in the IU Northwest Permit Parking Areas and will expire on the date provided by the department who has requested issuance. A vehicle displaying a monthly permit may park in a disability space with a state issued disability plate or placard.
Parking permits will be required from Monday at 6 AM through Thursday at 10:00 PM. Friday and weekend parking will be free and no permit will be required.
A university department can purchase a Monthly Temporary Parking Permit at least 7 days in advance for visitors and volunteers.
The department must submit a request with the following information to the Office of Parking Services. The charge will be calculated based on the rates above.
- Name and addresses of individuals needing permit.
- Length of time permit needed.
- Hours individuals will be on campus.
*General fund accounts can only be used to purchase parking permits for visitors or volunteers. Cost will be prorated if less than a month is required.
