What is a reasonable accommodation?
It is an adjustment or modification made to a job or the workplace or the usual manner or circumstances of performing the job that allows an applicant or employee with a disability to successfully apply for a job, perform the duties of the job, or enjoy the benefits and privileges of employment. Reasonable accommodation also applies to the application process.

How to request an ADA accommodation:
Student Accommodation Request
Students should contact the Accessibilities Services Coordinator
Students will submit a request for service. Types of accommodations could include extended testing time; note taking; Braille for Visually Impaired; closed captioning for Hearing Impaired; clear masks; aid for Mobility Impaired; typing software; and calculator use.
Faculty Accommodation Request
Faculty employees should request an ADA accommodation via Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs:

Staff Accommodation Request
Staff employees should request an ADA accommodation via IU Northwest Department of Human Resources.
Alternately, staff employees may contact the University ADA Accommodation Specialist.
Job Applicant Accommodation Request
Job applicants may request an ADA accommodation by contacting the IU Northwest Department of Human Resources.
