Welcome to the IU Northwest School of Nursing home page! I am the Interim Director of the School of Nursing and the Interim Dean of the College of Health and Human Services. Our college offers a high quality, personal touch education grounded in community engagement and delivery of holistic patient healthcare services.
Our School of Nursing continues to achieve high ranking NCLEX and post-graduate certification pass rates with scores consistently among the highest in the state. We are excited to report that 100% of our recent BSN graduating class successfully passed the national licensure examination and 92% of our FNP graduates successfully achieved certification on the first attempt!
Our MSN program has successfully launched two additional tracks…Nursing Education and Nursing Administration. Both tracks provide needed educational support for Registered Nurses interested in taking their careers to a new and exciting level! The Nursing Education track is focused on preparing nurses for faculty and clinical education roles in varying settings. The Nursing Administration track is designed to prepare nursing professionals for mid-level and senior nursing leadership positions in various healthcare-related settings. Both tracks offer rolling admission (Fall, Spring, Summer) and can be completed in as little as 7 semesters!
Our BSN and MSN programs are committed to promoting and supporting the health of the community. Our community-centered focus is a testament to the value we place on the delivery of personalized, safe, and quality care for the families within our Northwest Indiana and Greater Chicagoland region.
