Abstracts, papers, session proposals sought for Indiana Academy of the Social Sciences conference
83rd annual conference set for Oct. 12 at IU Northwest; deadline for submissions is June 15

The Indiana Academy of the Social Sciences (IASS) invites all faculty and students of public and private colleges and universities to submit their abstracts, papers, and session proposals by Friday, June 15 for consideration at the 83rd annual conference.
The conference, “Working Together for a Better Tomorrow”, will take place Friday, Oct. 12 at Indiana University Northwest.
The academy is seeking proposals in the academic disciplines of social sciences, history, business and international studies, criminology, gender studies, and environmental studies. Papers can be submitted for publication consideration in the peer-reviewed Journal of the Indiana Academy of the Social Sciences.
Established in 1929 and incorporated in 1937, the Academy exists to foster communication and collaboration among social scientists across the public and private colleges and universities of Indiana. The Academy is dedicated to the objectives of supporting social science research and dialogue and to promoting the value and visibility of the social sciences in Indiana while providing an environment in which social scientists across the state can interact in cooperation and friendship.
