IU Northwest to celebrate Asia Day on Nov. 6
Popular cultural event to feature Asian delicacies, performances and traditional ethnic dress
Tuesday Oct 30, 2012
An annual campus favorite, the Asia Day festival, will be sponsored once again by IU Northwest from 12 until 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6, in the Moraine Student Center. The campus and community are invited to join the celebration.
IU Northwest students, faculty and staff will showcase performances from Asian dancers and musicians, as well as colorful and traditional ethnic dress in a fashion show. A plentiful spread of Asian food is a highlight of the event. Students will also have the opportunity to learn about an experience of teaching English in China.
The cultural event is a sponsorship between the IU Northwest School of Business and Economics, the Department of Computer Information Systems, and the Office of Diversity Programming.
The event will also be celebrated with involvement from the Asian-American Student Association and the Office of Student Activities.
