Student and alumni groups at Indiana University Northwest are rallying to restock the shelves at area blood banks this fall with three blood drives, sponsored jointly by the Student Nurses Association (SNA), the Student Alumni Association (SAA) and the IU Alumni Association on the following dates:
12 to 6 p.m., Monday, Oct. 15 in the John W. Anderson Library Conference Center
9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 16 in the Moraine Student Center
12:30 to 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 23 in the John W. Anderson Library Conference Center
Current statistics report that someone in the U.S. needs donated blood every two seconds and more than 44,000 blood donations are needed daily. A single donated unit of blood can help save up to three lives.
Family and friends of IU Northwest students, faculty and staff are welcome. Individuals cannot donate to both drives. Blood donors will be entered into a drawing for a $50 Visa gift card.
