Indiana University Northwest Alumni Association (IUNAA) recently held an executive board election for the secretary position.

Members currently serving on the executive board are Despina Amanatidis (president) of Valparaiso; Janet Kozak (vice president) of St. John; Acquanetta Thomas (secretary) of Gary; and Michael Griffin (treasurer) of Highland. 

Additional members serving on the IUNAA board are Anne Marie Goodman of Griffith representing the College of Arts and Sciences; Darlene McCloud-Goss of Crown Point representing the School of Public and Environmental Affairs; Maryth Samuel of Merrillville representing the School of Nursing; Twan Stokes of Gary representing the Department of Social Work; Angela Stolpe of Valparaiso representing Dental Education; and Stephanie Summerhill of Hobart representing Allied Health Sciences.

Newly elected for at-large positions are Mary Colville of Merrillville, Lynnette Edwards of Portage, Ernestine Johnson of Merrillville, Kelley Pierson of Crown Point, and Suzette Sorrells of Valparaiso.

Additional IUNAA board members are Bernadette Brier-Slawinski of Ogden Dunes; Tom Devine of Lowell; Mary Goolik of Highland; Sandra Hall Smith of Merrillville; Aleesha Thirkles of Gary; Claudia Thomas of Gary; and Betty Villareal of Hobart.

The IUNAA is a branch of the IU Alumni Association.

IUNAA meetings are held at 5:45 p.m. the third Wednesday of each month on the IU Northwest campus in the John W. Anderson Library Conference Center in room 110.  The next scheduled meeting is Wed., Oct. 17.

All Indiana University alumni are welcome to attend.
