Questions Prior to Meeting
The staff have returned to a normal cleaning process. We are working on a door hanger that allows staff to request the cleaning of their office space. This provides an indication that someone has used the office and needs service and allow staff to decide when they want tour staff to enter their office space.
Please fill out a w/o for us to process and track the request.
The Mailroom is back to its normal schedule. We are still holding the packages for 24 hours prior to delivery.
The café in Moraine will be open Monday – Thursday between 8:30 -3PM. We will be installing two new vending machines that will have additional food options after hours. One will be located in Anderson and the other in Moraine.

Ivy Tech is following the same protocol as IU. They are responsible for assessing the needs for the Plexiglas in their spaces. They have supplied it at their main desk on the first floor and may choose not to use the 2nd floor reception area this fall.
Our HVAC and mechanical systems were designed for the recommended air changes require for the particular space type and use. Leaving the door open can impact the system’s ability to function correctly and may adversely impact the system to maintain temperature and air changeovers. It should be noted that the only time someone can remove their mask is when they are in a closed office so this would also limit that opportunity if the doors were left open.
Staff’s questions from the faculty TH meeting
Answer: IU will note be offering additional compensation for employees working on campus during Fall 2020.
Answer: The University benefits plans currently covers all types of testing and treatment for COVID-19 at no cost to our employees. There is not deductible or copay, it is covered at 100% for testing and treatment when noted by the doctor or hospital there is a COVID diagnosis. This is currently in place through December 31, 2020. In terms of long-term treatment, our plans provide comprehensive coverage. As for mental health benefits, our services have not, changed employees are encouraged to utilize the EAP.
Answer: Sick/vacation and PTO accruals will not be increased this year.
There have been no new polices created with regards to evaluations.
IU provides health benefits for individuals covered by the IU medical plan.
We are still waiting on information concerning the benefits for 2021, but as of right now we do not expect many changes, if any.

On campus hours are based on the needs of the campus, and department hours are determined by the department Dean/Department head.

The first two weeks are unpaid, After the first two weeks, employee uses own accrued time off in prioritized order. When accrued balances cannot cover a full-day absence, EFMLA pay is applied at 2/3 regular pay rate and remainder of day is unpaid.

Currently testing is limited hours on Monday through Thursday. If we are able to hire part time help for the clinic, we might be able to expand to Friday. Continue to check the Red Hawk News for updates. There is NO walk-in testing. You must first be pre-screened through the IU Health Virtual Hub. If testing is indicated, you will be given info about where to go and hours of testing.

In the Office of Admissions, we will ask visitors to sign via our Visit Day tool. We capture information from walk-ins by visit type serviced by a team member. We collect name, email, and phone number. Last week, the bookstore did not track customers that did not purchase merchandise, but they have been asked the question
