Evaluation Period- The purpose of the evaluation period for a new, promoted, or transferred employee is to provide assurance that the employee can satisfactorily fulfill the demands of the position. It is not part of any disciplinary procedure.
FMLA Policy and Procedures - The federal Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) is intended to balance the demands of the workplace with the needs of families by allowing leave for certain qualifying reasons.

Paid Parental Leave - Paid parental leave is available to all staff employees at IU who are in non-temporary positions of 30 hours or more per week and have been continuously employed in a benefits-eligible position for at least 12 months before the date of the birth or adoption of a child.

Position descriptions have many purposes, including ongoing performance management and development, staffing analysis, documenting unique aspects of a position, and more.
*IUHR Compensation will utilize the information/details provided in the position description form to review the position request and consider a recommendation. Completing this form will not automatically trigger a new role descriptor be created.
Reduction in Force Policy - In compliance with the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN). Provides advance notice of layoff and employee rights and responsibilities about seeking employment and retraining.
