Who We Are
The Calumet cluster of GLISTEN is a collaborative effort by local colleges, universities and environmental community partners to engage students in direct-action efforts to preserve and restore the environmental health of the Lake Michigan watershed.
What We Do
The GLISTEN model focuses on the following goals:
- to provide individual undergraduate students (student stewardship liaisons) with opportuntities for science-based summer research projects developed with community partners that enhance the knowledge and skills
- to develop undergraduate courses and course components that contextualize the projects and learning experiences within the regional environmental efforts of Northwest Indiana.
