TEP Admission Requirement: Demonstration of “basic skills” proficiency
All students who seek to enter the TEP “blocks” for any Teacher Education Program must demonstrate “basic skills” proficiency through:
• Praxis Core Examinations: starting June 30, 2019, with performance at or above the “cut scores” of 150 (Mathematics), 156 (Reading), and 162 (Writing). https://www.ets.org/praxis/register
• Core Academic Skills Assessments (CASA): Scores earned on CASA exams taken after December 31, 2019 will not be accepted. Exam scores earned before that date will be honored until June 30, 2021, with performance at or above the “cut score” of 220 in Mathematics, Reading, and/or Writing.
