The Office of Diversity, Equity and Multicultural Affairs is open for business and ready to assist you!
Although some of our staff will be working remotely, we will always have team members available from Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm for walk up assistance. Each individual office in our suite will post hours of availability on the door along with contact information. You can also email us at email@example.com or call 219-980-6596 to request a virtual meeting via Zoom.
The Community Center will be open Monday through Thursday, 8am-5pm. Due to physical distancing requirements we are only able to accommodate 5 students at a time in addition to the student worker on staff. Anyone who would like to request the space for up to 5 students must do so in advance by contacting Kevin Bryant at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note that everyone entering ODEMA spaces must submit to a forehead temperature reading. Only those with temperatures less than 100.4 degrees will be allowed to enter. Everyone visiting ODEMA offices or the Community Center will be required to wear a mask and physically distance. In addition, users of computer workstations will be required to wipe down keyboards and peripheral devices prior to using and after. Cleaning materials will be made available and readily accessible in those areas.

Welcome to the Office of Diversity, Equity and Multicultural Affairs
The Office of Diversity, Equity and Multicultural Affairs (ODEMA) takes pride in Indiana University’s longstanding commitment to diversity. ODEMA strives to remain an essential component for maintaining that commitment, working to create an ever more open and inclusive environment that draws on the widest possible range of talents. Our approach to diversity administration, advances our compelling interest in all forms of diversity. Diversity contributes to educational excellence by enabling outstanding students, faculty, and staff of all backgrounds to come together and learn from one another.
ODEMA is committed to assisting IU Northwest in realizing its vision to offer a premier undergraduate and graduate experience; conduct and stimulate world-class research, scholarship and service to its immediate community; and provide an exemplary working and learning environment. We are equally committed to cultivating new levels of learning which challenge, inspire, liberate, and ultimately transforms the hearts, minds, and actions of individuals and units. Ultimately, we take leadership responsibility for, and envision, the IU Northwest commitment to building a community of excellence through the affirmation of difference as seen in the composition of its leadership, faculty, staff, and students; through its policies, procedures, and practices; within its organizational structures; across its curricula; integrated into its co-curricular services and programs; and woven into the fabric of its interpersonal relationships.
We look forward to working with colleagues at IU Northwest and elsewhere to promote ever greater opportunity for all.
