It is currently IU Northwest’s plan to hold Commencement in person in May of 2021. It is scheduled for Thursday, May 13, 2021. Further details are available on our website, https://www.iun.edu/commencement/index.htm.
Yes, you are strongly encouraged to attend. We will be sending out an attendance survey email message in the future. Be sure to complete your attendance survey from the Commencement office.
IU Northwest is doing its utmost to keep track of all recent graduates. An email message from your Commencement office has been sent/will be sent to all recent graduates, to your IU email address. You are also encouraged to refer often to our website, https://www.iun.edu/commencement/index.htm, look for emails directed to you about the spring event, follow IU Northwest Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook accounts, and email our office, eventsnw@iun.edu, with any questions.
If you are a 2019/2020 graduate, please return the gown (and hood, if you rented one) in the postage-paid packaging that Herff Jones provided. If you would like to participate in IU Northwest’s in-person Commencement in May, there will be rent-free gowns (and rent-free hoods for graduate students) available to 2019/2020 graduates on the Commencement day. Be sure to bring your cap with tassel (and stole if you earned a bachelor’s degree) to the in-person Commencement.
It is ordered online and mailed to the U.S. Mail address that you specify. Orders will be open in early Spring 2021.
