Summer Bridge – August 19-23, 2019
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 9am - 1pm (snacks provided),
Friday 3:30pm - 7pm (dinner provided)
What is Summer Bridge?
The Summer Bridge is an activity-based approach to preparing students for their first year of college at IU Northwest.
During the week students will:
- Explore new interests
- Develop the skills needed for college success
- Build confidence
- Create community with students and faculty - develop new friendships
- Have fun while preparing for your first year at IU Northwest
The week ends with the "Student Showcase" and special group event (picnic, field trip, or other group activity).
Is the Summer Bridge free?
Activities are free and open to all incoming students, but space is limited! Please register at the link below to reserve a space.
Earn money for books.
Students who successfully complete their summer bridge earn a book scholarship for their first year at IU Northwest.
Can I take Summer Bridge for credit?
Yes! Students who complete the Summer Bridge experience will be allowed to enroll in the Freshman Seminar (COAS-E104) for FOUR credits, applying their Bridge experience as one credit toward the Freshman Seminar class.
Students who do not complete the Summer Bridge may enroll in the Freshman Seminar class for three credits only.
