Please be sure to check Canvas daily for important announcements and updates. Canvas is IU’s learning management system and it’s the primary way professors communicate with students, so check it for class news, scheduling updates, and more. You can access Canvas from One.IU.edu on the Internet or straight from your phone with the IU Mobile app.

The hybrid mode of instruction for fall 2020 means that you may not need to be present for every session of courses that have an in-person component. This is to ensure that physical distancing is possible in all classes. Please be sure to check Canvas daily for course updates and information on which days you should attend class in person. You can access Canvas from One.IU.edu on the Internet or straight from your phone with the IU Mobile app.

Please protect yourself and those around you by wearing a mask. IU will send you two masks, and will have more available on campus, if needed. When you put on your face mask, you are choosing to be kind, caring, and empathetic. Keep up the good work!

Even though we’ll be “physically distancing,” you can still hang out on campus if you need to between classes. There will be specially designated space on campus where you can study, hang with your friends, or just chill. Look for signs posted outside these hang-out spaces. Remember though, you’ll still need to wear a mask and stay 6-feet apart.

If you’re feeling sick, please do not return to campus. If you have symptoms of COVID-19 or believe you’ve been infected, please report your symptoms through the IU Health Virtual Screening Clinic. Just search for COVID Health Services on One.iu.edu or the IU Mobile app. And finally, have a plan for what you’ll do should you need to quarantine or isolate this semester.
