Degree Requirements
Each M.B.A. candidate is required to complete a minimum of 30 credit hours in the M.B.A. core. For students who have no waivers from the foundation courses, a total of 45 credit hours will be required for completion of the M.B.A. degree. A cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (4.0 = A) or higher in all work taken for graduate credit must be earned as a prerequisite for continuation in good standing and for graduation.
During the first semester of enrollment in the M.B.A. program, every student will be required to prepare and file a program of study with the director of graduate/undergraduate programs. The program will provide the candidate with the opportunity to chart the time period during which the degree requirements will be met.
All students must complete a minimum of the 30 credit hours in the M.B.A. core, of which no more than 6 credit hours are transferred from another institution, and meet additional requirements as stated upon admission.
Students must have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA in all classes counted toward the M.B.A. degree. If a student repeated a course, both grades count in the degree GPA.
Degree requirements must be completed within six years from the date of the first semester enrolled. Enrollment as a guest/non-degree/certificate student counts in the six years.
** Students must file an application for graduation the semester before they expect to complete degree requirements. Failure to file this application will result in the student's name not appearing on the graduation list for the semester in which the course work is being completed.
