We are committed to supporting all of our students achieve their dream. A college education has been shown to benefit an individual in several important ways such as increased employment opportunities and job security, greater life satisfaction, better health outcomes and a chance to pursue one's passion. In many instances, it is crucial for success in today's workplace. In addition, increasing the number of college graduates in our region is central to improving the local economy and ultimately the quality of life for all.
GOAL ONE: We strive to increase enrollment of beginning, returning, transfer and graduate students with targeted recruitment to include diverse populations.
GOAL TWO: We will increase the retention and graduation of students and reduce achievement gaps.
Academic Excellence
Success for IU Northwest students requires the intentional, inclusive, data-driven synergy of a diverse faculty of teacher scholars who are committed to high-impact student learning; research with impact; distinctive, adaptable programs and curricula; and experiential and community-based learning opportunities that enable students to learn and practice Twenty-First-Century problem-solving skills.
GOAL THREE: We will strengthen academic programs by supporting faculty, modernizing learning spaces and expanding academic programs and student participation in them.
Partnerships and Engagement with the Community
Student, faculty and staff engagement with community-based organizations result in a stronger regional economy and higher quality of life for all. Experiential learning opportunities through applied, real-world problem-solving experiences foster deeper learning, develop civic participation and enhance student satisfaction.
GOAL FOUR: We will foster and strengthen collaborative relationships that promote, build and sustain the wellbeing* of the campus and our communities.
