IU Northwest Artist Collective
The Department of Fine Arts sponsors the IU Northwest Artist Collective which strives to help students of all majors gain an appreciation for art and to take influence from the art community. The club hosts a variety of student-run arts events.

Broadway Drama Society
The Broadway Drama Society, an official IU Northwest student organization, takes pride in offering opportunities for all students to expand their skills, talents and love of the performing arts! Dedicated to every aspect of theatre including acting, dancing, singing, designing and directing, the BDS is a wonderful group of students that share passion for theatre and the desire to engage audiences. The club sponsors its own student-run productions as well as field trips, and special events, and meet-and-greets with professionals in the field. All club activities are open to all students regardless of major or prior experience.

Opportunities
Communication Internships
Internships are available for communication majors, primarily during fall semester. SPCH S490 requirements include a junior or senior standing, 21 credit hours of completed communication courses, a 3.0 grade point average in the major, an overall 2.5 grade point average (or higher), faculty supervision, and departmental approval. Internship credit hours count in the major.
Speech + Debate
Each fall and spring, the department sponsors a Speech Forum in which students selected from public-speaking classes compete in a contest before the campus and local community.
The students and faculty also host the RedHawk Debate Tournament in which hundreds of high school students participate in forensic and other competitive oral events.
TV + Radio
The TV Production Program produces programming in collaboration with a local cable station based in Gary, IN.
The WIUN Radio Station produces 24-hour web steaming programming and public service announcements on campus.
