Anchored by a 500-seat professional mainstage theater, the Arts & Sciences Building also boasts a black box studio theater, an art gallery, and bright, airy studio spaces for fine arts students. Other highlights include state-of-the-art classrooms and learning labs for all students. The School of the Arts and social science degree programs are headquartered here. We are proud to share part of the building with Ivy Tech Community College.
As its name suggests, the Dunes Medical/Professional Building is the home of the IU School of Medicine Northwest-Gary, the only medical school in the region, and the School of Nursing, the School of Business and Economics, and Dental Education. The Health and Wellness Center and the Dental Education Clinic are also located here, and there are plenty of labs and classrooms - even a virtual stock-trading floor for business students.
Hawthorn Hall is where you’ll find the Admissions Office and many student support services, including Student Accounts, Financial Aid, the Registrar, and University Information Technology Services (UITS). The School of Education and multiple degree programs, including general studies, are also based here. Also spread across its four floors are classrooms, the Writing Lab, the Office of Diversity, Equity and Multicultural Affairs (ODEMA) Community Center, and the Veterans Resources Center.
In addition nearly half a million books, the library features group and individual study areas, free computer stations, and a friendly, knowledgeable staff to help with research needs. One popular spot: the Little RedHawk Café serving a variety of snacks and Starbucks coffee and beverages. Also housed here: the Calumet Regional Archives, the Center for Urban and Regional Excellence (CURE), a Conference Center for meetings and events, and the Office of the Chancellor.
Home base for the biology, biochemistry, chemistry, geology and environmental science degree programs, Marram Hall also houses the Anthropology Lab and Resource Center. It also includes the expansive Student Technology Center, where you will find computers and other technology equipped with the latest operating systems and academically related programs free for use. Human Resources is also located in Marram Hall.
A busy hub, the Moraine Student Center features the RedHawk Café, serving breakfast and lunch - and plenty of space to eat, study, or chill. A popular place for campus events, the Moraine Student Center is also home to IUPD-Northwest, Parking Services, the IU Credit Union, and the Office of Career Services.
Home of the psychology degree program, Raintree Hall includes classrooms and multiple administrative offices, such as the Offices of Environmental Health and Safety, and Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action.
Connected to the Moraine Student Center, the Savannah Center is another bustling spot on campus. Highlights include the bookstore, gymnasium, 320-seat Bergland Auditorium, Savannah Fitness Center, and an art gallery adjacent to the outdoor sculpture garden. The Women’s Center and multiple student services are located here, including Athletics, Student Affairs, and Student Activities.
