Writing Center Hours

The Writing Center is closed the first week of the semester and during finals week.

It is very important that students bring materials to each session that are pertinent to the content of their papers. One of the most common errors a student makes is misunderstanding the nature of the assignment, which can result in problems with tone and, especially, content. Therefore, the most important thing to bring to a Writing Center session is a description of the assignment as given by the instructor. Often, such instructions are part of the class syllabus. Other sources may include class notes, textbooks, or handouts.

Walk-ins are welcome; however, we recommend making an appointment to ensure a consultant will be available to help you.
