Creating Photos for students receiving scholarships from Admissions
- Scan in the photo using the attached scanner in the Admissions office using Adobe Fireworks CS4.
- Make sure that the Output Resolution is set to 300 dpi and Output Size is set to Flexible.
- Click on Preview to preview the photo then click on the Scan button and it will display in the Fireworks editing area.
- Crop the photo (using the Crop tool) and touch-it up to eliminate gaps in the photo (using the Rubber Stamp tool) for coloring in clothing, etc.
- Once that has been done, get the dimensions set (600 w x 900 h) at 300 dpi. You might have to set the height set to 900 by (Modify, Canvas, Image Size) tab at the top of the File toolbar or set the width to 600 using the Modify tab.
- The image can then be adjusted for Color & Brightness.

- The photo will be save to a shared area: websites_photos_scholarships.
