Orientation Information and Agenda
An orientation program covering benefits and policies for new or transferred employees is presented by University Human Resource Services. Although the program is mandatory, it is held in a friendly, informal setting and is a great way for employees to become acquainted with IU. You should receive a letter of invitation to attend orientation within a few weeks from your date of hire.
Orientation offers employees the opportunity to:
- Hear about and enroll in IU benefit plans (health care, life insurance, tax saver benefit, etc.)
- Hear about and enroll in IU retirement plans.
- Ask questions about and discuss IU policies.
Employee orientation is usually held every other Monday in Poplars W181, 400 East 7th Street. Support and Service Staff employees typically meet in the mornings and Professional Staff employees in the afternoons. Specific dates and times will be mailed to you in the invitation letter to attend the orientation program.
