Dreamweaver CS4: The Basics

Dreamweaver is used to create web pages and manage web sites; it’s great for beginners because it allows you to design pages graphically without having to know XHTML. This workshop is intended for people with little or no experience using Dreamweaver, and it covers how to build basic web pages that include text, images and links.

Participants will:

  • Design a simple Web site
  • Work with tables
  • Insert graphics
  • Work with CSS Styles
  • Insert Links
  • Upload a completed site to a web server

Participants should already be able to:

  • Understand Web authoring and publishing at a basic level

Dreamweaver CS4: Creating Web Sites with CSS

This workshop is intended for people with experience using Dreamweaver and familiarity with web page markup code (HTML or XHTML). Discover how to use Cascading Style Sheets and Dreamweaver to create more sophisticated-looking web pages that are easy to maintain and modify and load quickly for your users. Covers techniques that will work across most browsers and platforms.

Participants will:

  • use built-in CSS layouts to create the basic layout for the web page
  • understand common CSS concepts
  • modify Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to create attractively designed pages
  • create dynamic effects using CSS
  • leverage style sheets to be used on multiple pages

Participants should already be able to:

  • Understand the Dreamweaver interface
  • Insert graphics
  • Understand and insert links
  • Understand XHTML code
