Welcome

IU Northwest has been a supporter of fine arts in northwest Indiana for many years. With our excellent undergraduate academic programs, enhanced by an increasing number of exhibits in our Galleries and campus visits by local and professional artists, we are a local leader in the arts.

Programs

The Fine Arts Program at Indiana University Northwest allows students to design a course of study suited to their individual needs and offers a variety of options for the Fine Arts major. It includes courses that offers students a broad, basic understanding of art and a series of options and electives that allow them to personalize their programs.

Students can concentrate in the following major fields of the Fine Arts:

  • Ceramics
  • Drawing
  • Graphic Design
  • Painting
  • Photography
  • Printmaking
  • Sculpture

All graduating seniors are required to have a senior exhibit. During the final year students must assume full responsibility for for mounting this exhibit, which must include terminal and representative work in the major field.
