Student Alumni Association Minutes - September 2 and 3, 2008

Welcome Back Week Sept. 9 & 10 (Tue. & Wed. of this week)

• We are doing a table to promote the S.A.A. to the student body contact if you can sit at table anytime either day.

Michigan City Eco-Fit Challenge (Sat., September 15, 2008)

• Location: Washington Park, Michigan City
• Events include: Biathlon, Crazy Tri, Tower Run (8K Run or 5k Fitness Walk), Ride the Wave Regatta, & etc.
• Register by Sept. 10 for the discounted rates on all events.

Hold The Date! "Refried Latin Pride" with Joel Hernandez-Kolski (Friday, September 19, 2008)

• Location: IU Northwest Savannah Auditorium
• Price: FREE
• Time: 6:00-7:00 pm (doors open @ 5:00 pm)

Adopt-A-Beach (Sat., Sept. 20)

• Location: The Dunes
• Time: 9:00 am

• Location: Savannah Gym
• Time 7:30 am - 9:00 am
• At least 4 students are needed to greet exhibitors, work the registration table, help exhibitors carry supplies to their tables.
• T-shirts will be provided & a boxed lunch
• If you are interested contact Paulette ASAP

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk (Sat., Oct. 11, 2008)
Chair: Sydney Barrows

• Let Paulette know by Sept. 16 if you are walking in order to have our logo on the back of t-shirts ($12)
• We will need to pick a day to solicit walkers and donations in Moraine - If interested in helping before the event to promote it in Moraine contact or Paulette.

Bonfire / Hayride (Oct., 17, 2008)

• Location: Lemon Lake
• Time: 7-9 pm
• Dinner, Hayride and Bonfire. Hayride will be around 8:00pm if you can’t make the dinner.
• Food will be provided by Paulette. We’ll have s'mores around the campfire. Everyone is asked to bring something yummy.

IU Open House (Monday, Oct. 20, 2008)
Chair: Sarah Felter

• Location: Savannah Gym
• Be there to greet at 4:30 pm
• Tour guides are needed, 6:00 pm - 6:15 pm
• No Jeans! Khakis, black or navy slacks are fine.
• Times needed are : 4:30pm - 6:45pm or 5:45pm - 6:45pm, 6:00pm - 6:45pm

Blood Drive (Oct., 27 & 28, 2008)
Chairs: JJ Cox, Sarah Felter and Sydney Barrows

• Location: Moraine Center
• Table volunteers to promote the drive in advance are needed on Oct. 21 (contact or by e-mail)

Community Days Coupon Books (Sat., Nov. 15)
Chair: Rachel Testi

• Sale day is Nov. 15
• We will sit at the Mall on Fri. Nov. 14 from 4 to 6 outside Carson’s to sell the coupon books
• Volunteers are needed to help sell coupon books at Westfield Mall in front of Carsons. Contact
