1. Is there a pre-medical (pre-dental, nursing, etc.) program on the campus? A pre-medical PROGRAM is NOT the same as a pre-medical MAJOR..
2. Is there a health professions advisor on the campus? Who is it?
3. What criteria are used to select applicants for admission to professional school?
4. Are ALL undergraduate courses required for admission to professional school given at the college being considered?
5. While in college, does the choice of a major field of study affect the success of an application to professional school?
6 How does this college rank with other colleges when looked at by professional schools?
7. Are people from this college campus REGULARLY placed into professional schools? For nursing, allied health plus dental assisting and hygiene, what PERCENTAGE of last year's graduates passed the state and/or national board exams?
8. Knowing admission to a health-professional school is VERY competitive (one selected for every three to thirty applicants), what may be done at the high school level in preparation for a professional career?
9. Are there things a student can do during the summer prior to entering college to prepare for a pre-professional course of study while at college?
10. If one does not get accepted into the professional school of choice, are there alternate careers?
11. Although I want to be a health-professional, can I afford it?
