Spirits is currently accepting submissions for its fist online edition.
Unlike the print version of Spirits, anyone can submit work for publication consideration in the online edition of Spirits. Like the print version of Spirits, each work submitted should be no longer than ten double-spaced pages. Spirits will publish a maximum of three pieces by any writer or artist, regardless of how many are accepted. Submitted works will be judged anonymously by a committee of students and faculty members.
To submit poetry, prose, or essays, print the submission form, fill it out, and send it, along with your submission, to:

To submit art or photography, print the submission form, fill it out and send it, along with your submission, to the above mailing address.
The Spirits staff WILL NOT MAIL BACK WORK SUBMITTED FOR PUBLICATION CONSIDERATION IN THE ONLINE EDITION OF SPIRITS. Artists may, however, pick up their submissions in the IUN Fine Arts Department's slide room, which is located in the Tamarack Building.
Publication schedule for Summer 2002 online edition of Spirits
The submission deadline for the Summer 2002 online edition of Spirits is Saturday, June 8, 2002.
Submissions go to committees on Tuesday, June 11, 2002.
Committee meetings will be held on Friday, June 21, 2002.
Layout will begin on Saturday, June 22, 2002.
The Summer 2002 online edition of Spirits will be released on Monday, July 8.
Readings
Writers whose poetry and prose were featured in the Spring 2002 issue of Spirits are invited to read their contributions at Barnes and Nobel in Merrillville from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Monday, April 29.
Writers whose poetry and prose were featured in the Spring 2002 issue of Spirits are also invited to read their contributions at Beaner's in Merrillville from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 3.
