|
|
Are all nineteen of you here yet? |

MPA graduate Linda Zramkoski is hooded
by Professor Karen Evans, with the able assistance of Alex da Silva
and Professor Jean Poulard. The standing joke in the faculty seats
was: "How many PhDs does it take to place a Masters' hood properly?"
Answer: "More than you'd think!" |

Bill Vargo draws the short straw - he gives a very short speech
thanking the faculty. |
SPEA conferred seven MPA degrees in December,
2001. There are 15 candidates for May, 2002, and six more will complete
their degrees in August, 2002. Of these 28 graduates, 19 were present
for the hooding ceremony.

SPEA honors the contributions of a great adjunct faculty by recognizing
an Outstanding Adjunct Faculty member each year. For 2002, that outstanding
adjuct faculty member is Paul Stanko. |
At the close of the evening,
all prospective graduates in attendance were individually recognized
and presented with a SPEA medallion. |
|
After the
ceremonies were concluded, students and their families were served
some munchies. The real future of SPEA may be represented in the
little ones, like Bill Vargo's son Matt (below).

|
And, Alex da Silva's
daughter,
Giovanna.
Congratulations to all our graduates!!!! |
