Minor in Political Science

Minor is conferred with baccalaureate degree.

Any Indiana University student enrolled in a baccalaureate program may declare a minor in Political Science. To achieve this minor, the student must complete 15 credit hours in political science in addition to Y103 Introduction to American Politics. These credits must be distributed as follows:

  • Six (6) credit hours (two courses) in the field of American institutions and/or domestic politics, and/or policy-administration.
  • Six (6) credit hours (two courses) in the field of international and/or comparative politics, and/or political theory.
  • Three (3) credit hours (one course) in any field of political science.
