- The various academic and administrative facilities at the university
generate numerous events open to the general public or various segments
of the community not normally associated with the university. These
events sometimes necessitate restricted use of certain lots or designated
areas.

of appropriate parking arrangements.
- General rules governing these events follow:
- Off-campus, non-profit organizations using university facilities
with less than 25 people attending function, will not be charged
for parking permits.
- Host departments should contact the Office
of Special Events as far in advance as possible to allow for
necessary arrangements and notifications.
- Host departments should send a memo or e-mail to IUPD Chief Denson
Chatfield requesting ticketing be waived during the event. Contact
University Police for specifics.
- Where the general public is invited to attend a function held
on campus, there will be no charges for parking.
- A daily fee will generally be charged for spectator or attendee parking.
The specific arrangements and methods employed are based on the nature
and location of the specific event.
- All other event groups, seminar and workshop participants, or those
paying a room rate and do not fall in the above categories, will be
charged $1.00 per parking permit.
- Student temporary parking permits will be issued.

without additional charge, in designated student areas during special
events.
- Host department university accounts will be charged for tickets issued
