Professional Activities:
Carole is a graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and Music Therapy with a minor in Psychology.  She also has a Master of Music with Honors in Piano Performance from Roosevelt University.  Before coming to IUN, Carole worked as a music therapist with schizophrenic and autistic children and emotionally ill adults.  She has also worked as a middle school and high school choir teacher; as piano accompanist for many musical and various choirs; and as musical director for middle school, high school, and community theatre musicals.  She is also the accompanist for the Southlake Children's Choir.  In addition to the classes that she teaches at IUN, Carole also teaches piano lessons from her home, which she has done for the past 25 years.  Carole enjoys gardening, dogs, and traveling.  She especially enjoys visiting state and national parks and other natural sites.
