- Registration Form – Please complete the JAG Registration Form for the 2010 Youth Summit before December 1, 2009.
- Arrival - Please plan to arrive at the Savannah Center between 8:00 – 8:35a.m. for directions to your assigned areas and to pick up your packet. Please introduce yourself to the students and the name of your high school and what your major will be in college.
- Time Keepers – Please bring a watch to start and end your session(s) on time. Please refer to the Time Schedule of Events. Volunteer parents from the 21st Century Scholars will also help to keep the sessions and students moving on time.
- JAG Packet - We will provide a variety of materials that will be covered during the round table sessions by the Facilitator you will be assisting.
- 8th grade students will complete the Career Game booklet and the Your Guide to School Success booklets.
- Review the Career Game booklet and come prepared with discussion questions.
- Student Evaluations – During the last session of the day (12:30-1:30 p.m.), please have the students complete the evaluations in the student packets and return them to you. The evaluations will be collected by the Volunteer parent in your area.
- Student Wrist Bands – All students will be wearing a colored wristband to determine the area that they should be in during each part of the day. Please refer to the Time Schedule of Events for those locations. Students are to stay in the Savannah Gym during the discussions and not leave the area.
- Lunch Tickets - You will purchase your lunch in the Redhawk Cafeteria in the Moraine Center using the ticket(s) that you will receive in your JAG packet at the Registration Desk upon your arrival if you have volunteered for at least two (2) one hour sessions.
- Backpacks - Students are not allowed to bring any backpacks or bags of any type with them. Female students may carry a small purse. Please check to see that your students comply with this request.
- Shoes – All visitors to the Savannah Gym are requested to wear gym shoes or shoes with a soft sole while attending the Youth Summit.
- Food - Students may not purchase food in the Redhawk Cafeteria, the Savannah Gym ticket booth or the IU Northwest Bookstore during the summit. No food, outside of the lunch meal, may be brought into the summit area. Students will be asked to dispose of any food brought into the summit area.
- No-Smoking - Indiana University Northwest is a non-smoking campus.
- Disruptive Students - Counselors will be asked to remove any students from the Youth Summit that are disrespectful or disruptive during any event. Students should be reminded that they are guests at this event.
