Youth Summit Logo Youth Summit - Counselor Information

 

 

  1. Registration Form – Please complete the Counselor Registration Form for the 2010 Youth Summit before October 31,  2009.
  2. Arrival - Please plan to arrive at the Savannah Center between 8:00 – 8:45a.m.. Students will pick up a student packet at the Students Registration desk and proceed to the Savannah Center Gym by 8:45 a.m. for directions and welcome.
  3. Student Wrist Bands – All students will be wearing a colored wristband to determine the area that they should be in during each part of the day. Please refer to the Time Schedule of Events for those locations.
  4. Lunch Tickets - You will purchase your lunch in the Redhawk Cafeteria in the Moraine Center using the ticket(s) that you will receive in your Counselor packet at the Registration Desk upon your arrival.
  5. Registration Cards – Before your arrival, please have your students print their names on the Registration card and then return the card(s) to the Registration Desk upon arrival. You may print as many copies of the card as you need for the names of your students.
  6. Counselor Evaluations – Your Counselor evaluation should be returned to the Registration desk before you return to the bus.
  7. Backpacks - Students are not allowed to bring any backpacks or bags of any type with them.  Female students may carry a small purse. Please check to see that your students comply with this request.
  8. Shoes – All visitors to the Savannah Gym are requested to wear gym shoes or shoes with a soft sole while attending the Youth Summit.
  9. Food - Students may not purchase food in the Redhawk Cafeteria, the Savannah Gym ticket booth or the IU Northwest Bookstore during the summit. No food, outside of the lunch meal, may be brought into the summit area. Students will be asked to dispose of any food brought into the summit area.
  10. No-Smoking - Indiana University Northwest is a non-smoking campus.
  11. Disruptive Students - Counselors will be asked to remove any students from the Youth Summit that are disrespectful or disruptive during any event. Students should be reminded that they are guests at this event.
