Program Services Tutoring| Exam Reviews | Job Assistance Workshops | Study Skills Seminars TutoringThe Occupational Development Program has become one of the strongest centers on the IUN campus for assistance with Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, and Microbiology. In each semester for the past two years, nearly 250 students have benefited from the program’s tutoring services. Services are offered to qualified associate degree and certificate students for all required science and social science courses. Tutoring may be provided for classes outside of the following list:
Students must register online for tutoring. Completed applications are usually reviewed and eligibility is determined in one business day. Exam ReviewsAt the end of the rigorous course of study for health occupation students is the professional licensing board examination, a mandatory, comprehensive test to determine occupational competence. Due to the comprehensive nature of these exams, students are encouraged to participate in available commercial review seminars available in order to properly prepare. Statistics show that students completing a review seminar are more likely to pass the board exam. With the price often reaching $200, these seminars were out of reach for some students. ODP has funding available to supplement the cost of the seminar. Contact your academic advisor to obtain information regarding a review in your area of study. Study Skills SeminarsIn order to succeed in college-level courses, students need a number of tools and strategies to help them handle classes, assignments, and tests. Some people come to college already knowing how to use these, but many students have to learn them as they go.
