"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has"- Margaret Mead

in December the SNA participated in "Deck the Stalls" and "Treasure Chest". In January they assisted in collecting household items for the ACT (Assertive Community Treatment) Drive for Tri-City Mental Health Facility in East Chicago, IN.

One does not have to be part of the SNA to volunteer, anyone can. Just contact any of the board members and we can tell you how!

The School of Nursing at IU Northwest welcomes the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission

The School of Nursing at IU Northwest will have its scheduled accreditation visit by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) on February 19, 20 and 21, 2008.

This is an extremely important event for the School. Typically, three visitors come to the campus and clinical sites to review all that we do here. There will be a time when the visitors meet with the students (no faculty allowed!) and it is extremely important that all students who are not in clinical attend this meeting.

This is the time that we put our program in its best light. We have a lot to offer here and it is important that students provide positive, honest, and constructive input.

Correction for the Annual IU vs. Purdue Blood Donor Challenge!

Originally the wrong information was posted for the 11th Annual "Battle for Blood" Please see the image below for the correct results! A huge thanks to all those at IUN who came out and helped save lives with your generous donations!!

“Thanks to all who donated blood at IU vs. Purdue Blood Donor Challenge last Monday and Tuesday, October 29th and 30th. During the two day event, we had 157 presenting donors and collected 135 units of blood. We did not quite achieve our goal of 150 units, but our donations will help 405 people. Great job!

Special thanks to the Student Nurses Association and Student Alumni Association for their assistance in setting up the blood drive and their assistance during the blood drive.”
