Access - Microsoft Office 2010

Microsoft Access is the most popular desktop database system in the world today which ensures that your newfound skills will serve you and your employer well wherever you go. A basic knowledge of Access can give you a head start on the competition and help you hit the ground running on the job. Presentation topics include table design, using Forms and Reports, and building and using Queries.

Word - Microsoft Office 2010

Learn the core functions of this powerful word-processing program such as creating letters and reports, formatting text, copying and pasting, printing files, saving files, and exploring capabilities.

Excel - Microsoft Office 2010

Students will learn how to enter and edit data, labels, and formulas, work with functions, format cells, print worksheets, create charts, and save a workbook as a Web page.

Intermediate Excel - Microsoft Office 2010

Students will learn how to work with large worksheets, use 3-D formulas, customize Excel's toolbars and menus, apply special cell formatting, sort and filter lists, create combination charts and trend lines, use Excel's auditing features, and work with templates.

Power Point - Microsoft Office 2010

Students will learn how to create presentations, rearrange and delete slides, use the Formatting toolbar, set tabs, and align text. They'll also learn how to work with objects, AutoShapes, text boxes, fill colors, WordArt, and other types of images. They'll create tables, apply a design template, work with slide masters, add headers and footers, and use PowerPoint's built-in proofing tools. Finally, learn how to create links between presentations and save a presentation for Web delivery.

Photoshop

The instructor will give detailed instruction for using the tools in Photoshop as well as using layers, layer masks, blending modes, black and white conversion, tints (partially colored images), cropping, red eye removal, creating workspaces, making and using selections, vignettes, cloning, curves, creating collages, creating storybooks, painting techniques, duo-tones, creating and using templates, glamour glows, and other editing techniques. Students will leave class with an instruction manual, video tutorials, and a hundred bonus templates to help you get started on creating storybooks! No Photoshop experience needed. Instructor will collect $15 for materials.

Computers for Seniors

This introductory course has been designed especially for seniors who are interested in learning some basic computer skills.  The classes will include a basic introduction to compters, how to use the Windows 7 operating system, and exploring the internet.  The class is for those over 60 years of age.
