Application Priority Deadlines:

• Fall Semester - July 1 
• Spring - November 1
• Summer - April 1

Who should apply through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions:

• Freshman applicants should Apply Online (preferred) or complete a paper application;  provide an official high school transcript or GED scores along with SAT / ACT scores if a current senior or are less than 1 year out of high school; pay the $25 application fee via credit card (if online) or check/money order (if paper).
• Transfer applicants should Apply Online (preferred) or complete a paper application; provide official college transcript(s); provide a high school transcript and SAT / ACT scores if you have less than 26 transferable college hours (C grade in 100 level or higher courses); pay the $25 application fee via credit card (if online) or check/money order (if paper).
• Graduates with a Bachelor or Master Degree from another university who want to seek another Bachelor degree should Apply Online as a transfer student and provide college transcript(s). Those who do not want a degree should Apply Online (preferred) as a guest or complete the printable grad non-degree application and pay the $25 application fee via credit card (if online) or check/money order (if paper).
• Current non-IU college students who want to take courses at IU Northwest and transfer them back to their current college should Apply Online (preferred) as a guest or complete the printable guest student application; supply an unofficial or official transcript or proof of good standing; pay the $25 application fee via credit card (if online) or check / money order (if paper).
• High school students who want to take college courses while still in high school (dual credit) should complete the printable high school student application and provide a transcript. No fee is required.
• International students must Apply Online. Please note: international applications take several weeks to process; add additional time to the priority deadlines; for admission guidelines please refer to IU’s International Student admission requirements. The application processing fee for international students is $60 USA.

Who should not apply through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions:

• Previous IU Northwest students returning after more than one year of not attending classes should contact their academic department for re-admission; no application process is needed.
• Students who have attended another IU campus who want to transfer to IU Northwest permanently or temporarily (ex. summer) should complete the Intercampus Transfer Application.
• Those who have applied to IU Northwest within the past 24 months. It is not necessary and your fee will not be refunded. Instead, update your previous application by calling (219) 980-6991.
