These award-winning hands-on, instructor-led computing workshops were written by the Information Technology Training & Education personnel of the University Information Technology Services Department of Indiana University in Bloomington and Indianapolis. Attendees receive a highly detailed handout that provides step-by-step instructions for everything covered in class.

  • Workshops are open to IUN CURRENTLY REGISTERED STUDENTS, Faculty, and Staff at no charge.
  • Reservations recommended. Walk-ins welcome when seats are available.

  • All workshops  require at least a basic knowledge of Windows.
  • Please check individual workshop descriptions for additional prerequisites.

Self-study training

Lynda.com has more than 1000 video based training courses online including comprehensive coverage of Microsoft and Adobe applications. IU students, faculty, and staff statewide get free access to the entire Lynda elearning library. More about lynda.com >>

Everyone who attends a workshop receives a printed copy of the workshop handout to keep at no extra charge.

For self-study, faculty, staff and currently registered students from any Indiana University campus can download PDF versions of workshop materials and the related exercise files at no charge from: http://ittraining.iu.edu/downloads/.

If you are interested in purchasing a handout, you may order through IT Training and Education. Payment can be made online, and the handout will be shipped to you. Alumni and members of the Northwest Indiana community may also purchase materials for self-study.

Anyone can access the articles on many different IT topics on the IT Training Tips blog or ask your own question.

Oncourse Training & Support materials, including the popular Oncourse feature demonstrations are available at no charge to all currently faculty, staff, and students.
