Strategic Planning Committee

Outcome 3

2004 Strategic Planning Outcome 3 Report

Engagement Activities

(number of feedback loops, sessions held, meetings, etc.)

Depending on how one counts, there were three or four campus-wide requests for feedback. This committee met approximately 16 times during the past year.

Number of People Responding

It is hard to accurately assess the number of responses. Most of the feedback was in the form of completed feedback request forms and emails. However some feedback came from personal replies to committee members, phone calls, etc. In total, an estimated

150-300 people responded to our committee.

Range of People Responding

(example:  students, faculty, staff, etc.)

Specific records were not kept of all of the responses, so this is a rough estimate. Types of responses included written letters, emails, completed feedback request forms, and in-person statements. The feedback I received was approximately 50% student, 30% faculty, 15% administration, and 5% staff.

Summary of Actual Outcome Achieved

This committee produced a statement of principles, reaffirmed our campus’ commitment to our respective handbooks, and proposed the creation of an online forum on human relations.
