To graduate, the student must satisfactorily complete 122 credit hours to include 72 credit hours of prerequisite and general education courses and 50 credit hours of professional 300-400 level courses. Courses identifed with an asterisk* and all professional courses must be completed with a grade of C (2.0) or higher before enrolling in subsequent core courses and before graduation. All course work must be completed in compliance with academic and professional policies of the program and school.

CAREER OPTIONS:
The Diagnostic Medical Sonography Concentration provides graduates for careers as diagnostic medical sonographers.

PROGRAM ADMISSION PROCESS: 

Applicants for admission to the program will be expected to:

  1. Submit an application. (Deadline Date January 15)
  2. Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.3 on a 4.0 scale for all course work.
  3. Maintain a minimum grade of C (2.0) in all stated prerequisite courses.
  4. Participate in a personal interview.

Preference given to healthcare Professions (AS degree or higher in a healthcare patien care related field) and preference given to Radiographers.  Admission to the professional year is competitive. Students are selected based on their previous academic background, a personal interview, and evidence of registration if applying under the health care professional background.
