School of Business and Economics Undergraduate Programs
Bachelor of Science in Business
Accounting/Financial Information Systems
This concentration gives undergraduate students greater and equal exposure to both accounting and finance coursework and focuses on blending leadership, teamwork and technology into the curriculum. Additionally, it provides students with experiences in key workplace skills, such as communication, ethics, logic, and computers in order to better perform in today's competitive business environment.
The Financial Information Systems concentration is designed for individuals who want to pursue the Certified Public Accounting (CPA) designation but also those students who are interested in the Certified Financial Management (CFM) or the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation. In Indiana, students who wish to pursue the CPA are required to continue their studies beyond the bachelor's degree. Students may continue with their MBA or PBCA to fulfill these requirements.
