  • Runner-up for the New Investigator Award conferred by the National League for Nursing’s Council of the Society for Research in Nursing Education. This award was based on my research titled, “Knowledge and Attitudes of Nurses Toward Culturally Diverse Patients: Implications for Nursing Education,” presented on February 6, 1991 in San Francisco at the Ninth Annual Meeting of the Council for the Society for Research in Nursing Education.
