Indiana University Northwest is seeking feedback about students’ academic experiences.

As part of a system-wide effort to improve the academic experiences of students at IU’s campuses, the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Research is administering the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE).

Freshman Monique King of Gary and Senior Jamie Matela of Crown Point were the most recent winners of the prize drawings that will continue to take place over the course of the survey. Each received a $25 gift card to Barnes and Noble. There will be two more gift cards given out, and everyone who completes the survey will be eligible for a final prize of the newest iPad which has 32GB of memory and is WiFi and 4G enabled. That drawing will take place the week of April 16.

Also selected to receive Barnes and Noble gift cards were: Freshman Jaclyn D'Azzena of Gary; Senior Kari McColley of Crown Point; Senior Jennifer Tepavcevich of Lake Village, Ind.; Freshman James Pajdzik and Senior Anais Diaz of Hammond; and Freshman Nilima Patel of Merrillville.

In late January, pre-selected students received an email message from Assistant Vice Chancellor for Institutional Effectiveness and Research John Novak with instructions for completing the NSSE. Participation in the NSSE is vital to helping IU Northwest bring students the most rewarding and valuable academic experience possible.

A web version of the survey is also available for those who have been pre-selected to take the survey. For more information, contact Novak at (219) 980-6905 or
