Hear original speeches on social and cultural issues from Indiana University Northwest students at the upcoming Fall Speech Forum held on campus Saturday, Dec. 3 from 10 a.m. until noon in the Bruce W. Bergland Auditorium, located in the Savannah Center.

Each semester, IU Northwest students enrolled in public speaking classes compete by delivering speeches on a wide variety of cultural and social issues. The student speakers are responsible for selecting their own topic based on personal interests. Speeches must be five to seven minutes in length or risk disqualification.

A panel of judges chosen from the university and the community score the speeches and the top three students receive plaques. A reception with refreshments will follow the presentations.

The Savannah Center is located at the southeast corner of the main campus parking lot at 33rd Avenue and Broadway in Gary.
