On Thursday, June 16, the Indiana University Northwest School of Business and Economics - Chicagoland’s Affordable AACSB Business School - will host an evening open house to introduce area professionals to its Weekend MBA for Professionals program. The event will run from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. at Hilton Chicago located at 720 S. Michigan Ave. in Chicago.

The Weekend MBA for Professionals offers a program of study specifically designed to accommodate the busy schedules of working professionals. The program includes all-day Saturday classes every other Saturday, plus online components, and leads to degree completion in only 18 months.

There is also an evening MBA option in which classes meet two nights per week. That program may be completed in as few as 20 months. Classes for both programs are taught by full-time business faculty at the IU Northwest campus located in Gary, Ind., one hour southeast of Chicago.

IU Northwest offers the only public business program in Northwest Indiana that is accredited by the prestigious Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB), which is the premier business accreditation attained by only five percent of business schools worldwide. The total cost for the Weekend MBA program achieved at IU Northwest is estimated at $35,000; a comparable university with AACSB accreditation located in Chicago could cost as much as two times that amount.

The weekend and evening programs make this advanced degree accessible for working professionals who must balance their education with other personal and professional obligations. And the campus’s convenient location just one-half mile south of I-80/94 makes it easily accessible for Chicago professionals.
