The Indiana University School of Medicine – Northwest (IUSM-NW) is accepting artwork from regional high school students. The submissions will be considered for the creation of a flyer, which will promote the medical school’s annual program, the 2012 International Human Cadaver Prosection Program (IHCPP). The winning flyer design will be displayed around the world to promote the international program.

The Prosection Program takes place each summer at the IUSM-NW, located on the Indiana University Northwest campus. This hands-on medical education program, the only one of its kind in the country, allows students and working professionals, including non-healthcare professionals, the opportunity to learn anatomy and radiology by working in the medical school’s gross anatomy laboratory.

The volunteers will work alongside medical students and faculty, practicing physicians and other professionals to ready the body donors for the fall semester’s gross anatomy classes. The physical process of prosection includes the removal of donors’ skin and body fat to expose organs, muscles and other anatomical structures.

Artwork submissions must be without any text in electronic and editable format (i.e., Photoshop), preferably on CD. The IUSM-NW must receive all entries by 5:00 p.m. on May 30, 2011. Submissions should be sent to:
