January 25: ‘Becoming the Highest Version of Yourself’

The first NSLS event sponsored by the IU Northwest chapter will take place via a live satellite feed on Tuesday, Jan. 25 at 6 p.m. in the Library Conference Center (Room 105ABC).

The presentation, entitled ‘Becoming the Highest Version of Yourself,’ will include a presentation by Bertice Berry, Ph.D., best-selling author and award-winning speaker.

Berry combines her skills as a sociologist and researcher with her love of laughter to help engage and move audiences to action. Her strongly held philosophy is that fulfillment comes from multiple pursuits.

Berry’s presentation will address several topics, including illuminating a path for others to live and learn, evolving a version of oneself that transcends competition, and finding the unique journey that will lead one to accomplish their purpose.

In addition to writing four published books, Berry engages in significant community activism. She has graciously donated all of the royalties from the sales of her books to organizations that help families in transition, raise funds for scholarships, and provide resource information to low-income families.

Linkner was named the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Automation Alley's CEO of the Year, and the Executive of the Year by the Detroit Executive Association.

An accomplished author, Linkner’s latest book, Disciplined Dreaming: A Proven System to Drive Breakthrough Creativity, helps organizations and individuals jumpstart their imagination and build creative teams.

March 22: ‘Creating Your Most Passionate Life’

Join the IU Northwest chapter of the NSLS for another event hosted on Tuesday, March 22 featuring Patrick Combs, a bestselling author, inspirational speaker, comedic actor and co-founder of a global personal development company worth millions.

The presentation is entitled ‘Creating Your Most Passionate Life’ and will discuss forming daily habits to maintain passions, steps to handling a rough economy, and encouragement to choose your passion and bliss.
